Accused involve in Lahore incident will be prosecuted by law: DG ISPR

Addressing a press conference on the recently held 79th Formation Commanders’ Conference, the DG ISPR said accused involved in yesterday’s lahore incident will be punished according to law.
The DG ISPR Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that the incident of violence in Lahore was tragic, no one’s bullying was tolerated and the society needed to be taken out of violent attitudes. Accused involved in the Lahore incident will get the punishment they deserve and will be prosecuted according to law.
Yesterday, Guards of Khawaja Salman Rafique, Ex-Provincial Minister of Punjab and member of Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz (PML-N), attacked an armed forces officer Major Haris at Ferozpur Road, Lahore.
According to reports, Khawaja Salman Rafique who is the brother of the renowned PML-N parliamentarian Khawaja Saad Rafique, inflicted an attack on Major Haris with the help of his guards. Major Haris got brutally tortured and got his arm fractured. Major was also threatened to death by the guards of Khawaja Salman Rafique.
Major Haris, a remarkable Army Officer, had served Pakistan and has defended the nation at the heights of Siachen.
The reasons behind the attack are not disclosed yet. However, Police has resigstered a First Information Report (FIR) and has initiated an inquiry against Khawaja Salman Rafique and his guards who attacked Major Haris.
