Abhinandan Varthaman’s mannequin displays at PAF museum

KARACHI: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Museum in Karachi has put on life-sized mannequin of an Indian pilot, Abhinandan, whose plane was shot down over Kashmir earlier this year, invoking the ire of India’s media.

Pakistan Army released a video showing him sipping a hot cup of tea and refusing to answer any questions politely.
“The tea is fantastic,” his remarks about the tea made him a viral sensation at India’s expense.

He was released several days later in a peace gesture from Pakistan aimed at defusing tensions. The statue stands in a gallery named Operation Swift Retort.
