Abbottabad police warn of strict action against violations of SOPs

Over 2,500 drivers were fined, and 1,400 people were arrested in Abbottabad for violating precautionary measures against coronavirus.

The Hazara Police Division took the action over SOP violations in the area.

The public does not wear masks or practice social distancing according to the deputy inspector-general of the district.

Vehicles with more than three people in them violate the order of the law.

If the violations continue, we will have to seal shops and close malls, he warned, adding a lockdown will be included in the further action.

This action was taken after the district’s number of COVID-19 cases grew. So far Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported over 12,400 cases and 541 deaths.
