Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar met Salahuddin’s family in Kamonki to console them after their son’s death.
Salahuddin was arrested in Rahim Yar Khan after his footage of allegedly robbing an ATM went viral on social media. He died a day after being in custody due to cardiac arrest.
His father, Mohammad Afzaal, believes the police has killed his son. He told that he had seen the bruises and abrasions on his son’s body.
Governor Punjab visited Salahuddin’s family in their village of Kamonki. Speaking to the media his father further said,
“We didn’t ask for any monetary compensation. We just want a three-mile road to be constructed in our village and gas to be supplied, and a school named after our son.”
In reply, Chauhdry Sarwar said,
“If the government can’t do this, then we have no reason to be in this position.”
He promised that all three requests would be fulfilled shortly.
