A larger bench of Islamabad High Court formed for Kulbhushan Yadav case

A larger bench of the Islamabad High Court has been constituted in the Kulbhushan Yadav case. The larger bench comprises Chief Justice Atharmanullah, Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
At the last hearing of the Kulbhushan Yadav case, the High Court had decided to form a larger bench. The Kulbhushan Yadav case is scheduled to be heard on September 3.
The large bench will hear the law ministry’s request to appoint a lawyer for Kulbhushan. The court has once again directed the government to contact India.
In a hearing on August 3, the Islamabad High Court directed the Foreign Office to re-contact the Indian government to appoint a legal representative and a representative for Kulbhushan Yadav. “We want Kulbbhushan to be a party in the case,” the court said in its remarks.
It may be recalled that the government of Pakistan had on July 17 offered consular access to Kulbhushan Yadav for the third time, while a petition was filed on July 22 to provide legal assistance to Kulbhushan. The petition was heard on July 30
