A big blow to India: New Zealand cruise into World Cup final

In a big upset of the World Cup 2019, New Zealand won the semi-final against India by 18 runs in a most dramatic manner.

Bowling on a reserved day after rain delayed the match, New Zealand bowlers wreaked havoc on Indian batsmen early on, scaring the middle and lower order batsmen. Indian wickets kept crumbling until Hardik Pandya (32 off 62) came in and gave support to his team scoring insufficient slothful runs with Rishabh Pant (32 off 56).

Partnership between wicket keeper MS Dhoni (50 off 72) and Ravindra Jadeja (77 off 59) injected hope into Indian fans, but with their wickets falling apart there was nobody left to carry forward the momentum.

Thanks to Matt Henry’s magical spell claiming three crucial wickets of favourite team, Kiwis have reached final of the mega event.

While batting first after winning the toss on Tuesday, New Zealand batsmen led by Kane Williamson (67) and Ross Taylor (74) had bludgeoned decent total against world number 2 team.

India’s defeat has rejuvenated fans of arch-rival Pakistan and they are posting all kinds of stuff to glorify New Zealand for sending Men in Blue packing from World Cup race.

Here’s how they are celebrating this moment:
