9 pistol bullets, 2 large firearm bullets found from attack site: police report

Police and other security agencies have completed the initial investigation of the assassination attempt on former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan during Long March in Wazirabad.
Yesterday, firing incident occurred near PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container in party’s Haqiqi Azadi March at Allahwala Chowk area of Gujranwala. Imran Khan, Faisal Javed Khan, Imran Ismail and others were injured in the incident.
The Punjab police and other security agencies have found 11 bullet cases from the crime scene where PTI Chairman Imran Khan was attacked, including nine pistol bullets and two large firearm bullets, according to police report.
According to the police, pistol bullets were fired at the container from underneath while larger bullets were shot from the container.
Report said that, Muazzam Qaiser, received a gunshot to his head that killed him on the spot, was trying to catch the accused.
“13 people were injured in the incident. 4 people sustained bullet injuries while the nature of the injuries of the rest of the people is different,” report added.
According to the police, PTI leader Faisal Javed is not among those injured by bullets, he has a minor injury on his face.
