The Sindh government allowed more than 82 factories to resume their operations on Tuesday, after agreeing to strictly follow the government’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) due to the coronavirus pandemic.
82 factories were permitted to resume their service to complete their export orders in a notification issued by Sindh home department.
“The factories would be bound to follow the SOPs amid coronavirus outbreak”, the notification reads.
In addition, yesterday approximately 69 units were given permission to resume their operations in the province.
On Monday, the provincial authorities had sealed three factory units in Karachi for breaching the Sindh government’s released SOPs.
Sindh Govt spokesman, Murtaza Wahab said all three factories had been sealed in Karachi’s Korangi area as they did not obey the government’s SOPs during lockdown.
