ISLAMABAD: At least 77,754 COVID-19 patients have so far been recovered from the disease in Pakistan, a report issued by the Ministry of Health said.
3,892 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty four hours, taking the total tally to 188,926.
These include 69536 in Punjab, 72656 in Sindh, 23388 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9634 in Balochistan, 11483 in Islamabad, 1337 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 892 in Azad Kashmir.
The death toll from the virus stands at 3755 with 60 deaths reported over the last twenty four hours. 23,380 corona tests were carried out during this period.
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Wednesday gave certificates to the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff serving in the Corona ward of the Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Lahore.
Later, addressing the participants the Health Minister said that Pakistan is passing through a difficult phase.
She said this is not just a challenge, it is an opportunity as well as to serve this nation with full dedication and commitment.
She said that doctors are known as the Messiahs and she salute all doctors, nurses and paramedical staff serving on the frontline.
