718 shifted to shelter homes, 1,105 given food: KP Social Welfare Department
PESHAWAR: The Social Welfare Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has said that 718 people had been shifted to shelter homes and 1, 105 were given free food across the province last night.
The SWD said the highest number of shelterless people, 286, were facilitated in Peshawar with free residence and food. In Dera Ismail Khan, 62 were given free residence and 195 others food. In Lower Dir, 42 people were shifted to the shelter homes.
Food and residence were provided to 39 people in Charsadda. While, people in Bajaur, Khyber, Orakzai and other districts also got benefit from these facilities.
