The fifth anniversary of a deadly school on Army Public School (APS) that claimed lives of over 147 people, mostly school students is being observed today across the country today (Monday).

In 2014, six terrorists affiliated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked the school and martyred 147 students and teachers.

The deadliest attack on Army Public School prompted the government to declare an all-out war against terrorist outfits. In result of the attack, military courts were set up for trying terrorists under amendments made to the Constitution and the Army Act.

The mastermind of the APS massacre, Umar Mansour, alias Khalifa Mansour, alias Umar Naray, was killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan.

150 people including 134 children were martyred.
Today is the day to remember the families that sent their children to school&not into a battle zone.
..to resolve that never again this should happen to any child.#APSMartyrs pic.twitter.com/b5dVJB9ZVv
