 5 trends that broke the internet during the lockdown

The world was moving forward so quickly in every manner. Technologies that people could not imagine in their lives are in the use of every other person now. But then a pandemic happened and everybody was isolated in their homes. People who did not use to have time to think, were becoming couch potatoes, as during isolation there was never too much to do but thank God for the internet as it gave some awesome ideas that become so viral that they become top trends of 2020.

let’s have a look at what kept us Pakistanis and the world busy during quarantine;

Ertugrul

Pakistanis came to know about this period drama through the suggestion of our Prime Minister, Imran Khan. He essentially called it a Turkish version of Game of Thrones but it was much more than that. People fell in love with Ertugrul, as it brought them back to their roots, the Islamic culture and history showed in this drama were so overwhelmingly pure during the times where entertainment only revolves around R rated content or Taalaq and saas-bahu drama.

Cooking

Quarantine woke every body’s inner chef. Food trends went viral on the internet like Dalgona coffee and lotus cheesecake. As it was a preference for many people to eat homemade food so, it resulted in going into the kitchen and just give in to your cravings. Many people conquered the kitchen ground too.

100 pieces puzzle

puzzles are a fun activity to engage your mind during vacations, especially for teens. The children isolated in their homes had a very negative impact as there was excessive use of screens. So, the 100 piece puzzle came to the rescue, it kept the whole family or a person engaged for days.

Ludo star

Ludo star became the jam for the millennials. It revived the board game in an online version, people were obsessing over it during the start of the lockdown. It also acted as a platform for meeting friends and playing games by virtually being together.

Resin Art

Scrolling through Instagram you must have seen this pretty form of art. Arts and craft really soothes you during stressing times, many people found their old sketchbooks but this unique art form got its recognition during this pandemic. Resin art also provided many individuals to earn money by selling their resin pieces.
