TEHRAN: An earth quake of magnitude 5.9 has struck Iran’s southern province of Bushehr, on Sunday.
According to Iran’s seismological agency, 10-kilometre (six-mile) deep quake hit 27 kilometres northwest of the port city of Genaveh at 11:11 am local time (0641 GMT) and was felt in nearby areas,
Morepver, the earth quake caused aftershocks and both resulted in the power and network failure.
The head of the province´s crisis management revealed that, “The minor damage to Genaveh´s water, electricity, telecommunication and gas infrastructure has been repaired,”
At least five people were injured, no major loss has been reported so far.
