About 48% of Pakistanis hope a better evolvement in terms of development in the economy of Pakistan in 2021.
According to the Economic Optimism Index Survey conducted by Gallup among 10,000 people of Pakistan between 9th October 2020 and 2nd November 2020 reveals that 30% Pakistanis do not expect an improvement in Pakistan’s Economy.
While, 12% believed that the situation would remain similar however, 10% preferred not to reply.

18% Pakistanis were confident about the development in 2021.
Moreover, during the rule of PPP government, 38% were not optimistic about economic development. Meanwhile the negative rate lowered down to 8% in 2009.
The PML-N government gave raise to positive hope among 47% of Pakistanis in 2014, which was further improved, as the positivity rate changed to 50% in 2015.

However, the boosted confidence of Pakistani People on the economic improvement started to shrink to 30% and 20% in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
The year 2020 records 18% hopefulness of people about the development in economy of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the comparison between three countries, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India revealed that 48% of Pakistani’s are optimistic that in 2021 the economy rate would increase and India recorded 58% of positivity rate. Whereas, 23% of Afganistani showed faith in the development of their economy in 2021.

Furthermore, the survey among 46 countries publicized that 46% believed that the situation would become worse, 24% believed the situation would remain same and 25% hoped for the good. On the other hand 5% chose not to answer.
