4.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Swat, surrounding areas

Swat: Earthquake tremors have been felt in and around the Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.

The magnitude of the quake was 4.5 on the Richter scale while the depth of the quake was 40 km. According to Hum News, due to the earthquake, people came out of their homes reciting the Kalima Tayyaba.

It may be recalled that tremors were felt in different parts of Balochistan province including Khuzdar last month.

According to the seismological center, the magnitude of the quake was 4 and the depth was 20 km while its epicenter was 90 km away from Khuzdar.

It may be recalled that two months ago, tremors were also felt in Lasbela district and surrounding areas of Balochistan province.

According to the Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the quake was 12 km away from Bela while the magnitude of the quake was 4.3 and the depth was 12 km.
