4.2 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Punjab

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted the provincial capital and several cities of Punjab on Wednesday.
The tremors were felt in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Chiniot, Faisalabad and their adjacent areas.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 4.2 on the Richter scale.
Its depth was recorded at 21km, while its epicentre was India Pakistan border region.
Following the quake, people reportedly rushed out of their houses while reciting Kalima and other verses from the Holy Quran, however, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or property.
