At least 65 people died and around hundred sustained injuries in the Ghotki district of Pakistan’s Sindh province after two trains collided with each other, on Monday morning (today).
Sir Syed Express train rammed into Millat Express between Reti and Daharki railway stations in Ghotki, according to Pakistan Railway (PR) officials.
The train was en-route to Sargodha from Karachi and Sir Syed Express, coming from Rawalpindi.
However, the incident occurred between Raiti and Obaro railway stations.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), military doctors and ambulances from Pano Aqil have been reached to conduct rescue operation.
Army engineers and specialist teams of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) are being airlifted from Rawalpindi to aid the efforts.
