25 students of government school in Islamabad fainted due to prolonged load-shedding, on Wednesday (today).
Malpur area where the school is located was out of electricity since morning .
Despite reaching out to WAPDA, the complain was not taken seriously and no immediate action was carried out.
Due to extreme heat, the students become dehydrated and some children started bleeding from the nose.
The students were immediately rushed to the hospital.
Earlier in the day, the energy shortfall in Pakistan reached 1,500MW as the power ministry had confirmed that 22,600 megawatt of electricity is being produced in the country while there is a demand of 24,100MW.
