24 passengers test positive for coronavirus at Peshawar airport

PESHAWAR: At least 24 passengers tested positive for coronavirus at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar on Thursday.
According to the details issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, a plane carrying 128 passengers arrived at Bacha Khan Airport. All of its passengers were tested and 24 of them came COVID-19 positive.
The airport administration said the affectees had been handed over to the district administration, who had shifted them to the nearest quarantine centres.
76 more deaths because of Coronavirus infection and 1,303 new positive cases have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 41,824 tests were conducted in a day and positivity ratio remained 3.1 percent.
Last month, the KP government had started using sniffer dogs to detect covid-19 among the passengers arriving at the Bacha Khan International Airport.
The sniffer dogs have been given special training to find out coronavirus in the passengers.
