2019 most peaceful year of country’s recent history: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary on Tuesday said that 2019 was the most peaceful year of the country’s recent history.

“Tourism has doubled in our country. Cricket has returned to Pakistan after many years and all matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will also be held in the country,” he said in a tweet.

He said the successes in the field of science and technology were also significant one.

Fawad Chaudhary said Pakistan gave a befitting response to Indian aggression after the Pulwama incident.

On the other hand, talking to a news channel, Minister for Civil Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan said there was now political stability in the country and economic stability would also prevail soon.

He hoped that the current year would be much better economically as compared to the last one.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan said Prime Minister Imran Khan was a democratic person who allowed every member of the cabinet to express his feelings openly during the meetings.

He said the government was well aware of the inflation and was making efforts to provide relief to poor masses.
