ISLAMABAD: 200 employees of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the largest hospital in the federal capital Islamabad, have contracted the coronavirus.
A spokesman for PIMS Hospital said that PIMS Hospital was on high alert due to the corona virus.
Earlier, the OPD of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the city’s largest hospital, was closed due to a rise in corona cases and the number of patients in Islamabad.
PIMS spokesman Dr. Wasim Khawaja said the hospital’s main OPD had been closed due to the spread of corona. The children’s OPD has also been shut down.
Wasim Khawaja said that both the OPDs of PIMS Hospital would be reopened after the severity of Corona subsided.
On the other hand, due to the global epidemic Corona virus, 54 more people have died in Pakistan and the total number of deaths has reached 7,897.
According to statistics released by the National Command and Operations Center, 3,113 new cases have been reported and the total number of affected people has risen to 389,311.
In Pakistan, 335,881 patients of Corona have recovered and 45,533 are undergoing treatment.
