2 martyred in firing on security forces check post in South Waziristan
RAWALPINDI: 32-year-old Hawaldar Matloob Alam and a 25-year-old sepoy Suleiman Shaukat were martyred in a firing incident at a security forces check post in South Waziristan.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists opened fire on a security check post near Pash Ziarat in South Waziristan last night.
ISPR said that the security forces retaliated immediately and in the exchange of fire, Hawaldar Matloob Alam, soldier Suleiman Shaukat were martyred and a soldier was injured. However, they came to the area for clearance.
Earlier this month, terrorists opened fire across the border on the Pak-Afghan border in Manzikai sector of Zhob area of Balochistan, killing 22-year-old Naik Fakhr Abbas of FC.
Earlier in October, Havaldar Tanveer was martyred and a young man was injured in cross-border firing on the Pak-Afghan border.
DG ISPR said that Bajaur Sector Army check post was targeted across the border.
