Today is the 17th anniversary of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, the father of democracy.
Whether it was martial law periods or the undemocratic actions of democratic rulers, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan has always stood up for the survival of democratic values.
Born in Khan garh, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan began his political career in the 1930s with the Majlis-e-Ahrar, be it All Parties Conferences or the announcement of the formation of a democratic alliance.
His son MPA PTI Nawabzada Mansoor Ahmad Khan says that Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan fully supported the mother nation Fatima Jinnah during Ayub Khan’s presidential election.
He said he knew the art of bringing democrats together on a platform against dictatorial regimes.
Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan passed away on September 26, 2003. Political analysts believe that the political vacuum created by the death of the father of democracy has not yet been filled.
