MARDAN: At least 17 police officials have been sacked in Mardan over their involvement in corruption, criminal activities and negligence in following departmental code of conducts.

According to details, the District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah ordered removal of the police officials. Those who have been removed from their posts include two sub-inspectors, two head constables and 13 constables.

The DPO said that those rendering good performance will be encouraged, while the policy of zero tolerance will be implemented against those involved in negligence in duty, corruption and criminal activities.
