PESHAWAR: 16 members of Khyber Agency’s Tablighi Jamaat have fled from a quarantine center in Sindh.
The Tablighi Jamaat was quarantined in Matiari district of Sindh on suspicion. Members of the Jamaat left after the prayer congegation on Sunday without informing the mosque. The community also included women.
The Peshawar-led Tablighi party belonged to different areas of the Khyber District. Deputy Commissioner Matiari sent notices to DPO Khyber and CCP Peshawar.
Deputy Commissioner Matiari has directed tracing of Tablighi Jamaat and FIR against three people have been registered for helping the Tablighi members to escape.
Police have arrested the three persons.
The runaway members were reported to have not completed their duration in quarantine.
