16 Afghan soldiers die, four others injured in Kunduz clashes
The Taliban militants attacked the security checkpoints in Bagh-e-Shirkat, an area of northern Kunduz province on Monday night.
According to the chairman of provincial council, eight security forces personnel along with two civilians had died and four soldiers were injured during the exchange of fire which was initiated by the Talibans.
Moreover, the Taliban conducted an incursion in the Archi district. They tried to reach the headquarters of the district but the response of the security forces stopped them. During the exchange of fire, three soldiers and five militants were injured, revealed Abdul Rizaq of Afghan national army’s 217 Pamir Corps.
However, eight soldiers and six militants reportedly died.
The further details about the clash attack will be exposed after the investigation, said the police spokesperson, Inhammudin Rahmani.
