PESHAWAR: Local administration of Peshawar has arrested 155 people for profiteering and violating lockdown orders in the metropolis.
The spokesperson of deputy commissioner said most of them were arrested for opening shops amid lockdown. Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Muhammed Ali Asghar along Additional Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed and Assistant Commissioner Noman Ali Shah visited various areas of the city and took action against those who violated the lockdown.

Assistant Commissioner (City) Sarah Rahman inspected main city areas, while Assistant Commissioner Dr Ahtesham and Additional Assistant Commissioner Usman Jilani inspected bazaars situated on Charsadda Road.
Businessmen and shopkeepers have been directed to close their businesses by 4:00 pm. Ali Asghar asked people to abide by the orders of the provincial government and stay at homes. He said legal action would be taken against those arrested for violation of the orders.
