1,500 drones create scannable QR code in China’s sky

1,500 drones fled and made QR code in the sky of China’s Shanghai to commemorate the anniversary of Japanese roleplaying game Princess Connect: Re Drive.
The drone fleet was organised by Chinese games company Bilibili during complex light show.

They made the QR code that the players or the onlookers can scan the code and directly download the game.
Moreover, the drones initially created depictions of characters from the game, alongside the game’s logo and text messages.

At the end of the exhibit, the drones created a shape of a giant QR Code in the sky. Of course, players could scan them like the usual QR codes.
