Sindh government spokeswoman Murtaza Wahab announced Thursday that a total of 123 passengers who recently arrived in Karachi on a flight from Saudi Arabia had tested positive for the coronavirus.
He said the coronavirus war is still being waged and many Pakistanis from abroad were infected.
There were 246 passengers on board the flight from Saudi Arabia, which means 50 percent of the flight was infected.
He criticized the federal government for wanting to keep flight operations open, but not the incoming passengers testing.
The Sindh government has been testing incoming passengers, he said, adding they will be isolated now.
