1,098 new COVID cases surface, 17 more patients die in Sindh
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday said that another 1098 cases were detected by testing 6,458 samples while 17 more patients died rising the death toll to 1,178, in the last 24 hours.
According to a statement issued here from the CM House, so far 409145 samples have been tested which diagnosed 75168 cases all over Sindh.
The statement said 17 more patients lost their lives while struggling against the virus. Now the death toll has reached to 1178. Overnight 1,267 more patients recovered and the number of patients recovered so far has reached to 40740.
At present, 33131 patients are under treatment, of them 31665 in home isolation, 78 at Isolation centers and 1388 at different hospitals. The figures collected from different hospitals show that 641 patents are in critical condition, of them 99 have been shifted on ventilators.

4044 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours, taking the total tally to 192,970.
These include 71191 in Punjab, 74070 in Sindh, 23887 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 9817 in Balochistan, 11710 in Islamabad, 1365 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 930 in Azad Kashmir.
The death toll from the virus stands at 3903 with 148 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours. 21,835 corona tests were carried out during this period.
81,307 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
