10-Grade Student abducted by ex-fiancé from Lahore’s Shadbagh recovered from Arifwala

The 10-Grade teenage girl who was abducted on Saturday from Shadbagh area of Lahore by her ex-fiancé has been recovered from Arifwala, with just minutes left in the expiry of Lahore High Court’s (LHC) deadline.

Inspector General of Police (IG) Rao Sardar Ali Khan has confirmed the recovery of the student.

According to the police, the accused Abid and Ilyas involved in the abduction of the student have been arrested.

Police said that the accused and the girl were with the investigation team and will reach Lahore soon.

On the other hand, Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Amir Bhatti re-heard the notice for recovery of the abducted student from Shadbagh.

The girl’s father was also present in the court. The Additional Advocate told the court that the girl has been recovered.

Police told the court that the girl was recovered from Arif Wala.

The Chief Justice ordered that if the girl was returning to the custody of the police, they would take care of her.

The court directed the IG to complete the investigation of the case as soon as possible.

“It is as much an honor for you as it is for me, I am concluding the suo motu notice now, thank you all very much.” CJ added.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court said that detailed decision of the case will be issued later.

Earlier in the hearing, Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Amir Bhatti had ordered that the 10th grade student who was abducted from Shadbagh should be rescued by 10 pm or else he would ask the Prime Minister to remove everyone from their jobs.

Notably, a 10th grade student was returning home on a motorbike with her brother after the examination on Saturday when four armed accused abducted the student and took her away in a car.
