Turkey: One person died and three others are missing after flash floods in Artvin Province in northeastern Turkey.
Yusufeli district witnessed flooding on the evening of 12 July 2020. The provincial government said that the floods occurred along the Artvin-Yusufeli highway after torrential rainfall.
The Yusufeli Dam Construction site faced destruction, one dead and the three missing persons are construction workers. Others who were working on the Dam’s site have now been evacuated.
Yilmaz Doruk, the provincial governor, visited the site on 13 July. The Artvin-Yusufeli highway has been closed to traffic. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
